These small RF test aids are built in the FLEXI-BOX, which is a small aluminium screened RF enclosure. They can be assembled by you or supplied ready built and tested by us :-
Allows a DC supply current to be fed to the inner of a coaxial cable for remotely powered equipment.
This amplifier was designed as a quick solution for standing wave measurements. It has turned out to be a most useful piece of equipment.
The FLEXI-BOX can be fitted with up to four SMA, BNC or N type connectors and is supplied with a simple transmission line (CPWG) PCB. This is probably the ultimate in small RF development enclosures. It is the only one we know of that has a PCB fitted ready for simple circuits. Once you have tried working with one, you will always want several laying around your laboratory or test area.
This amplifier is designed to cover the HF band with the optimum performance. It also covers the LF and MF bands and could be most useful to radio hams.
Remotely Powered VHF Pre-Amplifier
Designed as a general purpose VHF amplifier. Could be used for a VHF radio installation and especially suitable for installation in 'remote' positions.
The RF Bridge is a directional device for splitting the forward and reverse components in a transmission line.
The RF Trap is mainly intended for use in the measurement of small harmonics in the presence of a large fundamental using a spectrum analyser. It is particularly useful in digital communication systems such as GSM, DCS, UAIS and WCDMA, where transmit harmonic spurs have to be kept very small. It can also be used for other tests including mixer measurements, where conversion efficiency can be measured with the mirror image filtered out.
The RF Trap With Attenuators is used for the same measurements as the RF Trap above. The inclusion of attenuators, reduces the overall test system cost and results in a simple, electrically reversible unit that cannot produce a serious mismatch. It could be very useful in a production environment or in the laboratory.
The stub filter can be used for the same tests with a spectrum analyzer as the RF Trap above. It is a 'high frequency' measurement aid (1.0 GHz +) and it is therefore advisable to use N or SMA type connectors. BNC are available if they fit your requirements.
This is intended to be a test aid and is also part of our Standing Wave Demonstration Kit. It's description gives an opportunity to observe the effects of series inductance in a resistor.
This is a resistive splitter which gives good phase matching and low amplitude ripple to 3 GHz using standard 0805 resistors.
Designed as a test aid but equally suitable for a VHF radio installation.
Measures voltage and current in a coaxial cable from 0.3 MHz to 300 MHz. A unique and most useful product.
