Description

  The 500 MHz amplifier is built in a Mini size FLEXI-BOX on a dedicated PCB. It can be used as a test measurement aid or a general purpose 500 MHz broadband amplifier. The input circuit uses very low noise transistors with generous feedback and is therefore, a stable low noise amplifier. The DC input is fitted with a feed through capacitor with a solder tag and can be supplied with 11 to 17 Volts. The RF connectors can be selected from BNC, N, SMA and TNC. Other connector types could be fitted if required in quantity. The amplifier does perform well down to about 50 KHz but is not tested in production to less than 300 KHz.

  The isolation S12, has been omitted because it is better than -50 dB from 0.3 MHz to 500 MHz and would cramp the scale of the other measurements.

  The above results were obtained with SMA connectors and the performance will most probably be slightly inferior with any other type fitted.
